Pen & Board provides an online lesson room with video/audio calls, a shared whiteboard, file upload and annotation, split view, and screen sharing ("the Service"), accessed at penandboard.com. The Service is currently offered in an early-access period and features may change.
You must be at least 18 to create an account. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity in rooms you host. Students joining by link do not need accounts.
Files, drawings, and notes you upload or create remain yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to store, display, and transmit them so the Service works. You are responsible for having the right to use the materials you upload (e.g., copyrighted textbooks) and, where students are minors, for obtaining parent or guardian consent for their participation.
Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, to harass or harm anyone, to infringe intellectual property, or to distribute malware. We may suspend accounts that violate this section.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial; you will not be charged until the trial ends, and cancelling during the trial costs nothing. After the trial, plans are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period. Fair-use limits shown on the pricing page apply.
We work hard to keep the Service up, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Internet, device, and third-party infrastructure failures can interrupt lessons; we are not liable for losses caused by such interruptions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon closure, your content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
