What it does

Everything a lesson needs. Nothing it doesn't.

Built for tutors who are tired of running Zoom, a whiteboard app and a PDF tool at the same time.

Files

Write straight onto the worksheet.

Upload a PDF, a Word document, a photo of a textbook page, and mark it up in the lesson exactly as you would on paper. Every file type opens. Nothing errors out.

PDF, Word, images and scans Annotations save with the file Links expire when the lesson ends
Algebra practice — set 4 1. Solve for x: 3x + 6 = 21 2. Factorise: x² − 9 3. Find the vertex of y = x² − 4x + 1 try this one
Layout

The worksheet and the board, at once.

Put the question on the left and work it through on the right, or set two documents side by side. You can write on both panes at the same time, and so can your student.

Mobile

The student joins on a phone. It still works.

No app, no account, no download. They tap the link and they are in the room. Scroll with a finger, write with a finger. The interface adapts instead of breaking.

Board

A genuinely clean whiteboard

Pure white, no dotted grid, no clutter. Pen, highlighter, text and shapes that feel instant on a trackpad and on a touch screen.

Call

Video, and screen share you can draw on

Crisp audio and video built in. Share your screen and mark it up live, so you can point and circle while you explain.

Privacy

Locked rooms, expiring links

Encrypted calls, room codes nobody can guess, and file links that stop working after the lesson. Lessons stay between you and your student.

Why Pen & Board exists

I teach online, and I looked everywhere for one website that had the video call, a clean whiteboard and my worksheets together. Something simple that just worked, even on a student's phone. It didn't exist. The tools that came close cost more than Zoom and still felt clunky, and Zoom on its own can't open a worksheet and let you write on it.

So I built Pen & Board: everything a 1-on-1 lesson actually needs, in one clean room, at a price that respects teachers.

Pen & Board

Your next lesson could look this clean.

Open a room, upload a worksheet and see it for yourself — the whiteboard is free to try any time, with no account.
